Maria Morgan is is a bilingual Marriage and Family Therapy Intern (#1829) supervised by Jordan “Cody” Manning, LMFT. She received her Master of Art in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University. Maria was born and raised in Bronx, NY and later moved to San Diego, CA when she was stationed there upon joining the US Marine Corps. Maria has worked with children, teens, and adults doing individual and family therapy. Maria has experience working with life transitions, cultural issues, anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, stress, grief, and parenting. She utilizes a client-centered, strength-based, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed approach. Maria incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy interventions. Maria is a firm believer that with collaboration and intention a therapeutic relationship can help create insightfulness and open the space to learn new skills/techniques that work for you and your specific situation.

On her free-time Maria enjoys lifting weights, cleaning, and spending time with her daughter and husband. *Se habla Español*
