Brook is the Program Director. She graduated from The University of Connecticut in 1997 with a BA in Psychology. She went on to work in Early Childhood Education and also with adults who have developmental challenges until she received her MS in Professional Counseling at Georgia State University in 2009. Since that time, she has received her National Certified Counselor Credential, Mental Health Service Provider Designation is a Mandatory Pre-Screening Agent, and became a Registered Play Therapist in July of 2018.
Brook also has extensive training in Crisis Counseling, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Therapeutic Modalities, and Complex Trauma. She is married to Matt, who is also part owner of CFABT and has three beautiful children that range in age from twenties to under 10. Being a wife and mother in a blended family has taught her a lot about empathy, compassion, patience, and vulnerability. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her family, reading books, long walks, being involved with her church family, and spending time with friends and colleagues at CFABT. Brook is thankful that you’ve taken the time to read her bio and would love to come alongside you and help you reach the goals you have for yourself and your relationships. She has also taken great care in composing a team of skilled clinicians whom she believes can assist with a vast array of the problems that face children, teens, and adults in today’s society and culture.
